Dana is an experienced violin teacher, and has taught since she was the age of 17. She has worked with ages from ages 3-67, and tailors her lessons to every student’s needs, preferences, and learning style. She currently teaches violin and music theory at Arbutus Music Academy, 2083 Alma Street.
A violin student from the age of 3, Dana was taught the Suzuki Method growing up, and teaches her students the Suzuki and Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum. Dana also teaches music theory classes following the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum.
Dana is trained by the Suzuki Association of the Americas through Suzuki Book 5, and was taught by Alice Ann O’Neill, Amanda Schubert, and Jenna Potts. She also received pedagogical instruction from Ann Elliott-Goldschmid and Dr. Sarah Pizzichemi.
